Welcome to the website of St Briavels Congregational Church, I hope that you’ll look around and find out more about us.

The church was founded in the 1860’s by a congregational missionary from Bristol. Much has changed in St Briavels that would astound our founders, but our message remain constant: The bible reveals a living relationship with God is possible through the life, death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We are a friendly congregation made up of  people with a wide range of ages and backgrounds, some of us live in St Briavels whilst others travel in from the surrounding area. What unites us is Jesus; being joined to him has joined us to each other.

I’d like to warmly invite you to our Sunday morning service (10:30am). The website may answer some of your questions but the only real way to get to know us is to come along. We’d be glad to have you join us – whether you have been to church before or not.

Matt Rees (Pastor)

Making a Quilt

David Garland’s excellent commentary on Mark tells this helpful story: “My wife has compared making a marriage to a making a quilt. She thought it would be a fun winter project that would fill a blank kitchen wall that begged for something. Though she had never made a quilt before, she envisioned something beautiful, unlike […]
